OPEN SPACE 70: ARTS TRAIL JULY 2023

Hebden Bridge Arts’ Open Space 70 festival featured a weekend arts trail for you to explore. Taking you to a variety of borrowed spaces in and around Hebden Bridge you were able to experience creative work made locally on the themes of climate emergency, our environment, local nature and creative responses to the challenges the earth faces.

During Open Space 70 you could pick up a handy pocket sized brochure which had an A3 Arts Trail map inside, available from the Town Hall, Hebden Bridge, libraries and event venues all over Calderdale.

2. HOPE GALLERY

Curated exhibition of work from a selection of artists with a strong response to nature.
"As a gallerist I am usually drawn to art that makes me feel something. A gentle blowing of cotton grass in the breeze, a sunset to close your eyes and breathe into, the bleakness of the moors and their endless of nothing and yet so much. So, I am lucky to have an abundance of nature inspired artwork in my gallery in Hebden Bridge, by amazing artists, some local to Yorkshire, some nationwide. Please do come and look at the work I've curated for Open Space 70 festival." Caroline Gillatt
