OPEN SPACE 70: 2023
Open Space 70 was our environmental arts project & festival, made by and for the people of Calderdale.
Between March and July 2023 community groups, individuals, environmental experts, professional artists, and first-time makers worked together to create art for Open Space 70 across all genres, through attendance at workshops, courses, as part of project groups and through independent creativity.
From Thursday 13 to Sunday 16 July a celebration of 70 exhibitions and installations, happenings, performances, workshops, talks and walks took place at spaces in and around Hebden Bridge, including a weekend Arts Trail and a free programme of family friendly events. Our A3 fold out festival brochure was available to collect from Hebden Bridge Town Hall, Calderdale Libraries, Tourist Information Centres, local attractions and friendly local public facing businesses.
